Carpentry /Workshop: We would like to start laying the foundation of this work shop by the end of 2008. Our goal would be to start making chairs, beds and other accessories that are in high demand in Uganda. Our project would utilize young men who have figuratively speaking “failed” in life . The goal is to give them a second chance. Not only will they graduate with a job but will also have been exposed to positive people.
Financial Requirents: $ 50,000. The plan is to erect at least 4 buildings in the first phase. A work shop with 2/3 offices, a guest house where international visitors will pay to stay, a kitchen /Dining room and 2--3 bedroom duplex where staff members will live. A resource center where reading materials and counseling and guidance services will be offered to our clients.
This is a large scale and Rotary clubs and districts interested in the work in Uganda are encouraged to partner.
